December To Remember 2022

Updated: Dec 22, 2022

Clara White Mission, V101.5 and 93.3 The Beat are hosting the 28th Annual “December to Remember” Saturday, December 17th from 12 pm – 3:00 pm at the Emmett Reed Community Center, 1093 W. 6th Street, Jax., FL 32209.

New sponsors have joined the Clara White Mission to help families in need have a little more cheer this holiday season. In addition to iHeart radio's V101.5 and 93.3 The Beat, Jacksonville Health and Educational Resource Center, APEL Health Services and Florida Blue are donating toys and food to 5 deserving families in the Jacksonville area.

The Covid-19 pandemic kept the mission from reaching out to families in need for 2 years. Now Clara White Mission is ready to get back to giving. The very first December to Remember happened in 1994. Since then, we have brought Christmas cheer to more than 135 needy families. We appreciate past supporters who have contributed over the years.

This year McGowan Chiropractic and the Divine 9 are helping make December to Remember a success. Here's how it works. Five deserving families will be selected based on their heartfelt compelling stories. Those stories will be shared with iHeart radio listeners for two weeks before Christmas. At that time the public will have a chance to donate Christmas gifts from the family's wish list.

The mission is providing a catered lunch prepared by Clara White Mission executive chef Robert "Bobby" Burns. During the Christmas Party families will meet Santa Clause and spend an afternoon feasting and spreading holiday cheer. A final surprise will be presented to the families by McGowan Chiropractic. Dr. McGowan has pledged $500 to each of the 5 families, totaling a $2,500 dollar donation.
