The Clara White Mission was founded in 1904, but traces its origins to 1880s Jacksonville where former slave, Clara English White fed hungry neighbors from her two-room house on Clay street. Over the years her daughter, nationally recognized humanitarian Dr. Eartha M. M. White, molded the labor of love into a thriving social agency.

Attendees experiences

Great food and more than excellent brisket. May you add some hot dogs or hamburgers or something in that category? Keep teaching your students what you are teaching your students because they are doing an excellent job.

~ Sally Daniels

Great food; wonderful server. What a meaningful endeavor altogether. Win, win all around.

I’ve been coming for 2 ½ years and I say this would have been one of my (your) top 3 total meals of all time. Everything was so good. Including the Jazz artist you had for our listening enjoyment. Thank you for doing what you do!

Would not change a thing. You are doing once excellent job teaching and training everyone. As always, the food was very taste and well presented. Most enjoyable and well worth our trip to join you for lunch.
